Meet the People Behind Chappell Sports Cars
At Chappell Sports Cars we pride ourselves on our long term commitment to our customers.
The Chappell family has a four generation fascination with motorcars and motorsport. Stanley Chappell was a member of the pre-war MG trials team and his grandson, Rex, was the RAC trials champion for five consecutive years. Along with his own many trials victories, Lee Chappell (Rex’s son - pictured with Kier), developed a passion for Porsche, eventually owning thirteen of them. His current project is the building of a 1973 RS Recreation.
Kier Chappell, (Lee’s son) is the owner and director of Chappell Sports Cars. Kier has worked in the motor industry for over twenty years including time at BMW and Lexus and even completed a two year contract with Chevrolet in the USA.
More recently, Kier worked for 5 years as General Manager of one of the leading independent Porsche specialists. The key to his success was the long term commitment to customers and exceptional attention to detail. With these strong values we are sure you will be impressed with how things are done at Chappell Sports Cars.
Steve Coles has been in the Porsche market for over 25 years. His knowledge of Porsche is second to none having purchased over 3000 examples of this iconic sports car. He has supplied leading Porsche dealer groups and leading Porsche specialist with prime Porsche used car stock for many years.
Unusual for a car buyer he has a generous side, this is never more apparent than when being offered an exceptional Porsche. Why not give him a call on 07968 911 911.
Dan is responsible for detailing our cars & ensures all our stock looks stunning under the showroom lights. He is also on hand to provide audio solutions such as iPod integration and bluetooth telephony.
Over the recent years, we've been restoring a classic Porsche 911...
4 years in the making we have now in our possession what we believe is the best 1973 911 RS lightweight recreation to date. Powered by a handbuilt 3.5 litre engine with Mahle pistons & barrels and producing a healthy 328bhp with 280lbs/ft of torque at 7000rpm. The interior benefits from a full FIA approved roll cage - Renn sport seats in Alcantara & leather. Originally based on a 1987 3.2 Carrera the car has had extensive work to ensure the outward appearance mimics that the the original 1973 RS. To say the car is an impressive piece of engineering is an understatement & with a total weight of just over 1000lbs it is ballistic quick.
Kier has been a delight to deal with over the purchase of my Porsche 993. He is passionate and knowledgeable about the Porsche marque, and always very straightforward and open about the financial side of the purchase. Since the purchase he has remained interested, helpful and communicative over the ongoing ownership of the car. I would recommend Chappell Sports Cars to anyone.
